Davi was discarded or left over from the milk industry. He was rescued shortly before being placed on a truck and then on a ship to be “live cargo”. Setback is what defines our lack of humanity, because now, Rio Grande do Sul has started exporting calves up to one year old to be killed in other countries.

David is a docile little calf and despite the immense sadness of such cruelty, the joy of knowing that David will never get into a truck, much less a ship to be brutally killed, fills our eyes with tears.

Tears of pain, of love and of hope that one day all this suffering with animals will end.

May those little eyes of yours see only peace, without ever even imagining the pain they could have experienced.
